STEAM @ FES

 

 

Fairforest Elementary received its AdvancED STEM accreditation in March 2016. Through integrated, student-centered instruction, we strive to provide all students with engaging, meaningful learning experiences that emphasize science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Our students are constantly growing as investigators and problem-solvers, and our continuous focus on literacy in all subject areas has equipped them to ask thoughtful questions about our world and use their resources to seek out answers and innovate solutions. 

 

During the 2018 - 2019 school year, our school decided to make a conscious effort to make the shift from a STEM to STEAM instructional program.  This shift required our school to learn how to infuse our arts program (visual, theater, music, and dance) into our core instructional program.
