Fairforest Elementary School Is Proud To Be A Title I School!

What is Title I

and

What Does it Look Like to Be A Title I School at

Fairforest Elementary?

Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies and schools to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.

These schools are identified based on the socioeconomic status of our students. School eligibility is determined during the Spring of each school year for the following year using students’ pupils in poverty data.

FES Pupils in Poverty:
2024-2025: 76.26%
2023-2024: 75.06%
2022-2022: 71.25%
2021-2022: 77.93%

Title I specifically helps our children succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally support through our Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) for academics and social-emotional learning.

Funding is utilized to:
* Provide reading and math interventionists to aid in closing the achievement gap for our students
* Fund a full-time behavior and academic specialist who supports our MTSS program, 4K, and Special Education Program
* Provide funds for instructional supplies and materials
* Fund family engagement and educational opportunities

In classrooms, our students are engaged in rigorous lessons all across the content areas of reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
FES is growing leaders through a variety of approaches that include STEAM, Guided Reading, Guided Math, project-based learning, and so much more!
