FES Science Fair Winners!

We had so many amazing projects in this year's science fair, and our judges have been working ALL DAY to select our winners. We've got a lot to announce, so listen carefully!
First, our group projects in grades 1-4. These students worked together to create some outstanding projects. Remember, our group winners are not able to compete in the regional science fair, but we are so proud of their outstanding work!
  • In the category of Physical Science, 1st place winners are Justus, Alanah, and Charlie from Dr. Turnage's class. 2nd place goes to Lauren, Kameron, Mar Avan, and Alisson in Ms. Brower's class.
  • In the category of Chemistry, 1st place goes to Coleman, jeremiah, and Liam Z in Mrs. Duvall's class. 2nd place winners are Sofiia and Travis in Mrs. Revis' class.
  • We also had some outstanding whole-class projects. In this category, Ms. Miley's class took 1st place and the kindergarten STEAM classes took 2nd place!
Now for our individual and 5th grade winners, whose projects will advance to the regional science fair at USC Upstate next week.
  • In Physical Science, 1st place goes to Ethan in Mrs. Johnson's class. 2nd place goes to Linley in Mrs. Duvall's class.
  • In Chemistry, 1st place goes to Charlie in Dr. Turnage's class and 2nd place goes to Anthony in Mrs. Duvall's class.
  • In Biology, 1st place goes to Henry in Ms. Sparrow's class. 2nd place goes to Journey in Mrs. Brady's class.
  • In Behavioral science, 1st place goes to Ruth in Mrs. Brady's class. 2nd place goes to Grayson in Mrs. Brady's class.
  • In General Science, 1st place goes to Viktoria in Ms. Sparrow's class. 2nd place goes to Alaiyah in Dr. Turnage's class.
  • In the Math category, 1st place goes to Neymar in Mrs. Brady's class. 2nd place goes to Aubree in Mr. Peterson's class.
Finally, we have our 5th grade winners. 5th grade is a separate category in the regional fair, so we will have individual AND group winners that will compete. 
  • In Physical Science, 1st place was a tie between Maddox in Mrs. Diestler's class and James in Mrs. Theo's class. 2nd place was also a tie between Maddie, Mariah, and Allison's group and Maddox, Justin, and Vladyslav's group.
  • In Chemistry, 1st place goes to Paulena, Atlas, and Violet. 2nd place was a three-way tie among THREE groups: Meilssa, Olivia, and Sofiia; Charlotte, Karina, and Camilla; and Max, Daniel, and Ryker.
We are so proud of EVERYONE who participated in this year's Science Fair!
