4th Grade Farmers' Market Project

Fourth grade’s Farmer’s Market Day was very “fruitful” with students, clearing out our school garden for summer crops, planting seeds, challenging themselves with a crop-related spatial reasoning activity, and delivering orders to teachers from Hub City Farmers Market. For this unit, students also made persuasive posters to advertise that Hub City Market was coming for an outside event, took orders from faculty and staff, and worked to figure out the total cost including tax for each order. What a day of making learning relevant and rewarding!

We are very thankful to the D6 farm AND the Hub City Farmers' Market for their help with this awesome project!
